Happy Halloween

Wishing You a GHOULISH Day! Here is a cute halloween card made using Under the Stars. The candy corn was made by layering a 1/4" circle of white, 1/2' circle of Summer Sun, and 3/4 circle of Pumpkin Pie. Then you cut it into pie slice and you have your candy corn. I made the lollipop out of a portion of toothpick and 1/2 circle covered with glitter. The bag is 3/4" x 1" with elastic cord for the handle.

Winter Post cards

Today my friend Lenore came over and we made these cards. We saw samples of these cards and just had to make them. The Winter Post stamp set makes for an awesome card. I can't wait to make the tag pictured in the Holiday Mini Catalog.

Two Cool Dudes

This was the card I created for Stamp Camp this past weekend. I love snowman so it i no surprise that I choose to use Two Cool Dudes for my project. I would have to say Pacific Point is my favorite In Color. I find it to be a rich and vibrant color.

Door prizes

Today is our 2008 Holiday Stamp Camp. Here are the door prizes that I made.
I took an inexpensive frame purchase at Ikea. I removed the thin plexi-glass and attached some window screen. Took one of those paper coasters  stamped on an image, sponged the edges and punched holes in each corner. Then I attached it with black wiring to the window screen. Cute and simple.

The next one  is a cute box of coasters. The box is made out of one
sheet of paper cut, scored and wheeled. There are a dozen paper coasters that I stamped with Basic Black ink for snow man and Baja Breeze and Pacific point for the snow man. I also colored in the little features on the snowmen.
I realize that the colors may bleed when these coasters are used but they are meant to be disposable.

Season Of Joy

I saw this card on a blog and had to case it. It is truly a great one. I know it isn't Halloween yet and I am working on Christmas cards. With so many great sets I want to make a variety of Christmas Cards this year, so I am starting early. I totally cased this card. Okay I may have changed the brads. But it is basically the same.
This one is a little more time consuming. Using Season of Joy I stamped the image on Kraft and again on Whisper white card stock. I hand cut out the 3 flowers, square and tree. I punched out the snowflake with the 1" punch. Totally Cute! I just love this card.

Season of Friendship

Season of friendship can be found in the Holiday mini catalog. A simple but sweet card using  a brayer to give the sky a neat effect. I layered Summer Sun on Whisper White cardstock. Covered the spot I wanted to be the sun with a 1-3/8" circle of copier paper. Then layered More Mustard and Pale Plum over it. I removed the paper circle and place a stencil circle over the sun area, used a dauber of More Mustard around the edges. This gives the sun some depth. Then I stamped the tree and leaves in Chocolate Chip.

Halloween Treats

With Halloween drawing near I am always looking for great ways to decorate candy or candy boxes.

The spider has a peppermint patty between the layers. It is made using scallop punch, circle punches and photo corner punch.

The mummy is made from the Sizzix Top note and Circle punches. It is the front of a candy box.

Technique

In this months techniques class we did a Shaving Cream Technique. This technique gives the butterfly and leaves a marbled/ swirled look.

Halloween Card

Halloween is a favorite time of year in my house. I enjoying sending out Halloween cards.
An ink pad was used with the Jumbo Outline Alphabet to stamp out Halloween, but markers were used to fill in the letters and to ink up parts of stamps. The word happy actually came from Happy New Year out of the Holiday & Wishes stamp set. The cat and pumpkin are from Batty for You.

I made this photo album for Lindsey's 13th Birthday. I used clear envelopes as my interior pages to hold photos. The lettering and flowers on the cover are made using the Big Shot and Sizzix GoGo Boots alphabet set and Birds & Blooms Sizzlits 4 pack. The beautiful flower paper is part of Parisian Summer Designer Series Paper.

Phase 2 of the Decor Elements is here.
It is a must see! Check out the Decor Elements link on the left side.

Snow Swirled

Today there was a slight chill in the air. It made me think that not much longer and winter will be here. Maybe this year we will get some real snow. For now I will be happy with the snowflakes on this card. The white flakes are embossed.
