Tall Tale Framed Art

I LOvE making framed art. It makes such a perfect gift to give a friend or two.

This particular Framed Art was made from Tall Tale Designer Series Paper.
I was inspired by one of the pieces and
decided to make a smaller version to fit into this frame. I also used Chocolate Chip Pattern Designer Series Paper, Rose Red and Whisper White card stock.

I wanted the giraffe to look as if he was floating over the hills in his Hot Air Balloon, so I layered the pieces using Stampin' Dimensionals

Stampin' Up! has a new stamp set called Animal Stories that features a giraffe just like this one, but about 2 1/2" tall.

If you would like to see what other new stamp sets are available in the new 2009-10 Idea Book & Catalog, go to my website www.ginascardsandmore.stampinup.net and click on contact me. Fill out the online form and I will send you a catalog.

Melon Mambo purse

Norma, Paulette

and I went to Lorie's house last night. There I made my own purse. Isn't it just precious.
Later I will finish my cards to go inside.

This purse is made from one of the new In Colors available July 1st. It is called Melon Mambo

The hardware on the purse is the Filigree Designer Brads with Clear Rhinestones Brads in the center.

I stamped the flower from the new stamp set, Kind & Caring Thoughts Hostess, a Level 3 set.

The More the Merrier Birthday Card

I love Cupcakes on a birthday card.

My card features many new In Color, Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry card stock, an Bermuda Bay polka-dot ribbon.

The new hostess stamp set The More the Merrier has these cupcakes, 5 in a row.

The cupcake with a heart on it inspired me to create this adorable cupcake out of punches and paper.

The base is a 1 3/4" square that has been crimped and sides tapered. The frosting top is created using the Wide Oval Punch and the Small Oval Punch. You punch out one Wide Oval, then 3 small divets from the bottom using the Small Oval Punch. Round and rough edge. Finish the cupcake off with the medium heart cut from the Heart to Heart Punch.

Bubbles Scrapbook page

Bubbles are everywhere on this scrapbook page.

To create all the circles I used my Circles punches along with the wonderful Circle Scissors Plus circle cutter.

There are a few important things to remember when using this tool:

whatever you are cutting needs to be fasten down to the glass mat, you can either tape the ends with some masking tape or use Dotto on the underside.

Next you will need to hold the device down on the black section of your Circle Plus, spreading your hand over the whole side.

When using the cutting tip you really do not need to push too hard.

The paper should cut with ease.

The base of this scrapbook page is a Sheet of the Sweet Slumber Specialty Designer Series Paper

This paper is on the Last Chance List. Don't miss out on purchasing the accessories before they are gone for good.

Spring Pictures scrapbook page

This scrapbook layout may look familiar to those of you who took the Springtime Banner card class.

I used the same basic elements from that card and made it into a double page layout.

The base of the pages is crafted by
layering Basic Gray on top of Almost Amethyst. Each picture is framed with Certainly Celery. These colors along with Pretty in Pink and So Saffron coordinate with the Tea Party Designer Series Paper used in the background for SPRING.

Beautiful Little Baby Scrapbook page

This may look a little familiar to you all. I made several of these cute bunnies (like the one from the  Beautiful Little Baby suitcase) I thought it would be a great addition to a scrapbook page.

To dress up the Barely Banana card stock I stamped images from the Seeing Spots stamp set on the page with Barely Banana ink. This allows the images to be seen but blend into the background.

Graduation Announcements

Well my oldest son is graduating from High School this year.

I wasn't sure what kind of graduation announcements I would send out. I decided I would purchase school announcements but I had to add my own touch to them.

I used the Great Grads stamp set. I Stamped the grad image twice, once in Ruby Red ink and once in Basic Black ink. I cut out the black graduation cap attached it to red one with Stampin' Dimensionals to make the hat stand out.

The inside envelope usually has a seal on it since the envelope isn't sticky so I used the circular stamp. Instead of leaving a G in the center,

I decided to print up the high schools letters on a piece of Ruby Red card stock. Punched it out and glued it in the center.

The seal is actually adhered with dotto, so it won't rip when opened. I thought this was a cute touch to my announcements.
