Necco Candy Box Holder

With  a little stamping  and a little paper crafting I created this Necco Candy Box Holder. The image is from a Happy Heart stamp set. This beautiful outline image was stamped in Basic Black which is a water proof ink, allowing me to water color with a little ink and  aquapainter.

When you pull up on the taffeta ribbon it pulls the candy up. It is very easy to recreate this.
-Punch a slot with the slot punch on the front and back.
-Insert ribbon thru then put candy box in pushing down on ribbon until candy box is push in all the way.
-Tie a knot at the top and then a bow.
-Cut the ends of your ribbon. and Voila, it is complete.

Hugs & Kisses Candy Box

Using the new Sizzix Box Die now available thru my Stampin' Up! website: www.ginascardsandmore.stampinup.net I created this cute box. Before putting it together I stamped the three hearts from the Love You Much Stamp set to create a designer box. Then I cut a strip of Candy Lane Designer Series Paper to go all the way around the box. Hiding the seam I used the hugs and kisses stamped several times and punch out with various punches. I wrapped each Hershey nugget candy with some Candy Lane Paper to give it a matching look.

Valentine's Purse

At a recent Downline meeting, a fellow demonstrator brought a cute little purse made from 2 small envelopes (3-1/8" x 3-1/8"). It was too cute.

I just had to make my own. I changed it some but it is still a similar base, made from 2 small envelopes. I used A Happy Heart stamp set to decorate my little purse. The new Eyelet Border created the adorable flap, completed with a Rhinestone Brad.

The inside of the purse has two pockets to put little notes. LOVE IT!

Thanks Onja for sharing your creation at the meeting.

Happy Birthday

This sparkling birthday card is cased from the Stampin' Up! Spring/Summer 2009 Idea Book & Catalog on page 40. Contact me to receive a copy of this catalog. The sparkles or fireworks are actually snowflakes from the Snow Burst stamp set and the cupcake is from Big Bold Birthday stamp set.

Love you Much card

Another card made with the Love You Much Bundle. This is one of the cards we made at my Stamp Club this month. My Stamp Club is more of a hybrid club where members get to choose from several dates each month to better fit their schedule. The same projects are offered on the different days. Members still receive all the benefits of a traditional Stamp Club, but have more flexibility on the date that you choose to come stamp each month. Contact me for more information or to join my stamp club at ginadygert@yahoo.com.

For the flower I used 4 small hearts punched from Riding Hood Red Piecing them together with a Vintage Brad in the center. I also used half a old olive heart for the leaf. I also stamped the V on a piece of Close to Cocoa, cutting it out to make a vase for the flower.

True Friends Card

The Bella Toile Background stamps out a beautiful background for this soft butterfly from Simple Friendship

To attach the butterfly, I used mono in the center and dimensionals under each wing. The butterfly looks as if he is resting on the card.

Just Buzzin' by to say

Hello!

You could make this into any card, birthday, friendship or even a thank you, just by stamping in the inside of this card the sentiment of your choice.

I absolutely love this stamp set, Just Buzzin' By. It comes with 3 adorable little bees. I loved them  so much that I made a whole bunch bees. I stamped them 3 times for each bee, on Whisper White, Summer Sun and Blush Blossom, then cut each layer out.
To finish off each bee I used two way glue and Dazzling Diamond glitter on the wings and a Basic Black Stampin' marker to accent the arms and the little balls on the end of the antenna.

Good Friend

Here is cute card to give a "Good Friend".
The flower image was stamped several time in Old Olive. To give a depth effect I used the stamp twice technique. I inked up the flower, stamped once(darker flower) and again(to produce lighter flower).
The bird was stamped on a separate sheet of card stock, cut out and attached with dimensionals. I chose to put a brad in the eye fora little texture.
This just one of the many new stamp set is featured in the Spring/ Summer Idea Book & Catalog 2009.

This set helps to create the perfect Valentines. I stamped the Love on a different piece of the Candy Lane Designer Series Paper for each letter, cutting them each out and adhering them to a piece of Very Vanilla. The Flower top is a Filgree Brad with a Clear Rhinestone Brad.

Sandals on the beach Frame

I have a friend who likes sandals, so I made this for a birthday gift to her.

Once again I used the Sizzix Petal Card Die Cut. I cut the left and right flaps off to make the sandals. Add a little ribbon and a rhinestone brad and VOILA .... we have sandals.

The background is done using Sandy Shells wheel(retired while supplies last), uniball gel pen and some watercolor pencils. Can't forget about the Crab from Crab & Co stamp set (retiring 1/18/09), he is stamped on a sheet of the Bella Rose Designer Series Paper.

Heart candy holder

Here is a great way to use your
Sizzix Petal Card die cut
Don't forget to use your crease pad(the pad with a little give to it)or your fold lines will turn into cut lines.

I cut out 2 petal cards, one in Rose Red Card Stock and the other in Raspberry Tart DSP. Fold up the 2 bottom flaps and you have a candy holder.

To decorate it up a little I stamped the Hugs and kisses from the Love you much stamp set. Punched it out with the scallop circle and the 1-1/4 circle punch. The heart is just cut around the edge.

I can't thank you enough card

Here is another Thank you card using Parisian Summer DSP and Flight of the Butterfly.

Occasionally, I like to cut out stamped images.
Honestly, it's more like ALL of the time.

To help this butterfly pop off the page I used a strip of mono adhesive in the center then placed
stampin' dimensionals on each side of the adhesive. I made sure to attach the center of the butterfly first allowing the wings to fall naturally on the page.

To give a different feel to this card I put the stamped image inside the card and punched a window with the Scallop Square. It works best if you punch thru one layer at a time.

I stamped this Say it with Scallops image twice.

Punching one out with the scallop square and the other using the 3/4 " square punch I punched out the words. I  place a 7/8" square of Pink Pirouette on top of the bottom layer.
A Stampin' Dimensional adheres the words so they will pop from the paper.

Butterfly Thanks Card

Most people view Designer Series Paper(DSP) for scrapbooking only. It can also be used in card making. In the catalog you will see below each DSP there are coordinating colors. These colors help you to know what colors of ink and card stock go along with each.

This is the Parisian Summer DSP. It is on the retiring accessories list, available while supplies last.

The coordinating colors are Pirouette Pink, So Saffron, Bravo Burgundy and Sahara Sand.

I also used some Very Vanilla along with the Flight of the Butterfly  and Thank You Kindly Stamp Sets to create this card.
