Christmas Bear

I just love this bear and can not help but make cards using this stamp set, Under the Stars.

I paired it with the new Season of Hugs stamp set from the new 2010 Holiday mini catalog. It is meant to be an accessory stamp set for the Build a Bear set but works great with my bear.
I stamped each image on all the different colors and cut and pasted them together. Don't forget to add your BLING BLING on the tree, using the self sticking Jewels Basic Rhinestones.

Convention Swap " Let it Snow"

Well I am in Salt Lake City Utah for the week. Really cramming to make card fronts and 3D swaps and can't forget about Convention gifts for friends. Here is one of my Swaps.

With the heat lately I thought I would created something that brought cool thoughts.
I am sure you are thinking I am crazy to say "Let it Snow".

Using the Playful Pieces stamp set (a Level 3 Hostess stamp set) I created this adorable snow man.
You will need to punch out 3 circles from copy paper. Cut those circles using the 1", 1 3/8" and 1 3/4" circle punches.
Sponge around the outer edges of the circles with Bashful Blue Classic Ink, a little more heavy handed. Lightly sponging the inner part of the circle.  Then add all of his accessories from the Playful Pieces stamp set to complete the look. Just love it.
The words are from Punch Pals stamp set.

This is a very simple card, only 2 layers. Bashful Blue and Whisper White card stock. To add a little depth I dragged the Whisper White card stock through Early Espresso Classic Ink (just the edge to add a thin line). It gives an illusion of a third layer of card stock.

No Stampin' Dimensionals on this card. Doesn't happen often:)

I also down scaled this card to create an ATC sized swap.

Created basically the same as the full size card. Except I used smaller circle punches. The 3/4", 1" and 1 3/8" circle punches. I also had to hand draw the eyes, mouth and buttons.

One of my favorite thing about Christmas is Christmas cards.

This is a cute card I received from my down line Ingrid Ward

Cold & Cuddly Chocolate holders

Here's some LOVE to keep you warm.

What a cute saying for a candy holder. I love the little penguin from the Cold & Cuddly stamp set. Using my Stampin' Write markers I was able to give this image lots of color.
You can make 4 holders out of 1 sheet of card stock. First score your paper on the 8 1/2" side at 3", 6", 6 1/2", 7 1/4", and 7 3/4" then cut on the 11" side making each piece 2 3/4" wides.  The Word Window punch makes a great slot to put a piece of nice chocolate in.
My son and I made many of these to be given out to his friends. Just a little something to let them know we care.
I forgot to mention that this Stamp is only available until January 4th. Don't forget the Holiday Mini Catalog items are only available until January 4th. So place your order today by visiting my website at www.ginascardsandmore.stampinup.net

The More the Merrier Christmas Window Card

Here is a different type of card, a Window Card.

To create this card you will need to cut a 1 1/2" strip of Window Sheet to replace a portion of the base of your card.
Adhere it the the base with Two-Way glue, overlapping it a 1/4" on each side. Dress it up with some Holiday Lounge Designer Series Paper.
The Heard From the Heart stamp set is a wonderful size to be seen through the window.

Orange Cranberry Bread Recipe Card

I need to get baking today. I love to have Orange Cranberry Bread for Christmas Breakfast.
This is a wonderful recipe.

*Just a little secret on chopping cranberries: I usually keep my Cranberries in the freezer and chop it with a food chopper.

This recipe card is crafted by using the Soft Holly wheel on Garden Green card stock. To create cranberries I punched 1/2" circles out of Real Red card stock and sponged them with Rich Razzleberry Classic ink
The orange slices are created with the Tart and Tangy stamp set. Stamped in Pumpkin Pie Classic ink on Whisper White card stock, punched pieced out with 1" circle punch and layered in a  of Pumpkin Pie card stock punched out with the 1 1/4" circle punch.

Scenic Season Christmas Card

Only 6 More days until Christmas!

I can't believe it is almost Christmas. I made this card to send to most of my Family and some friend. It was an easy card to mass produce.

Using the Scenic Season stamp set inking up the Trees with Garden Green Classic Ink(mask over the words before you ink). Then I wiped any ink off the bird. Ink up the bird with a Real Red Stampin' Write Marker. Now stamp it onto a piece of Whisper White card stock(4 1/2 x 3 1/4). I used the Seasons Greetings from Many Merry Messages stamp set.  Stamping on a separate piece of Whisper White card stock.  Cutting it out and mounting it on. To get a nice snowy effect, Two way glue and Dazzling Diamonds on the tree and ground. I tried to image where snow would be on a tree.

Makes me think of all the snowy Christmas I have seen as a child.
Wouldn't it be great to have a white Christmas. One can only hope:)

One of my Christmas Traditions is to include a Christmas Picture into my Christmas card. These are my wonderful sons, and my cat and dog. I thought this turned out to be a good picture. Everyone seemed to want to look out towards the camera.

Delightful Decorations Christmas Card

I have seen many cards  cards where the ornament has been punched into the base of the card.

This is my version. I used the  words from Many Merry Messages stamp set and the ornament stamp from Delightful Decorations stamp set

The base of the card is Real Red card stock. Christmas Cocoa Designer Series Paper is placed on top of Soft Suede card stock.

To complete the card, the Ornament punch is punched into the bottom of your card. Punch in just far enough not to be close to the edge. Then close the card and put your ornament through the punched window. This is the easiest way to line up the ornament.

Sweet Season Candy Bar

A Beautiful way to dress up a plain candy bar.

This is a Hershey Bar wrapped with Chocolate Chip card stock followed by Merry Moments Designer Series Paper trimmed with a 1/4" strip of Real Red card stock. I stamped with Stampin' Write markers and the Sweet Season stamp set onto Very Vanilla card stock then punched it out with the Wide Oval punch and then sponged around the edge so it wouldn't look so stark.

Pick a Petal Christmas Angel

I have made several variations of this Christmas Angel using the Pick a Petal stamp set

Remember you do not have to use a set the way it was intended. This one was to make flowers. I like the beauty it adds to her dress. I have also made a Get Well card featuring this set before.

Do you own this stamp set? I would love to see what you have made using the Pick a Petal stamp set.
I might even post your cards here on my blog (with your permission). Send your creations to ginadygert@yahoo.com

*I have added another picture to show you another view. She is a Christmas tag. Her Halo is made from punching a 1" circle punch into a Brushed Gold card stock. Then punch a 1 1/4" circle punch around it.

Wandering Words with Neighborhood Jumbo wheel Christmas Card

Here is another Christmas card made using the Santa and reindeer stamp from the Wandering Words stamp set.

This card the sky is sponged, a circle  stencil for the moon and the sky around. To get the houses I wheeled the Neighborhood Jumbo wheel in Whisper White craft ink onto Basic Black Card stock. Then cut out the houses leaving ground to connect the house. Flip it over before adhering it to my card. This way there are no lines showing.
I then glittered the tops of the house and the ground using Two Way Glue and Dazzling Diamond Glitter.
Now it looks like a real winter scene.
